In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 168(2), 301(6) of, and paragraph 2 of Schedule 10 to the Education Act 1993[1] as extended by section 26(3) of the Welsh Language Act 1993[2], the Secretary of State for Wales hereby makes the following Regulations:
Title and commencement
1.(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Special Educational Needs) (Prescribed Forms) (Welsh Forms) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 13th February 1995.
(2) In these Regulations "the principal Regulations" means the Education (Special Educational Needs) Regulations 1994[3].
2. The forms set out in the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby prescribed as versions in Welsh which may be used instead of the corresponding forms in parts A and B of the Schedule to the principal Regulations for the purposes set out in regulations 12 and 13 of the principal Regulations.
3. Forms substantially corresponding to the forms set out in the Schedule to these Regulations may also be used.
