SEA FISHERIES
The Brancaster Staithe Fishery (Variation) Order 1994

Whereas an application for an Order to vary the Brancaster Staithe Fishery Order[1] was made under section 1 of the Sea Fisheries (Shellfish) Act 1967[2] to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food by the Brancaster Staithe Fishermen's Society (hereinafter referred to as "the grantees");
And whereas the said Minister prepared a draft Order and served a copy of it on the grantees in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 to the said Act;
And whereas the grantees caused printed copies of the draft Order to be published and circulated, and gave notice of the application, in accordance with paragraph 2 of the said Schedule;
And whereas no objections were received by the said Minister under paragraph 3 of the said Schedule;
Now, therefore, the said Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said section 1 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
Title, commencement and interpretation
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Brancaster Staithe Fishery (Variation) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 20th September 1994.
(2) In this Order "the principal Order" means the Brancaster Staithe Fishery Order 1979.
Variation of the principal Order
2. The principal Order shall be varied in accordance with article 3 of this Order.
3. In article 4 of the principal Order for the words "for 15 years from the date of its coming into operation" there shall be substituted the words "for 30 years from the date of its coming into operation".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)This Order extends the duration of the Brancaster Staithe Fishery Order 1979 for a period of 15 years.
