The Education Act 1994 (Commencement) Order 1994
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 26 of the Education Act 1994[1], hereby makes the following order: 1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Education Act 1994 (Commencement) Order 1994.
(2) In this Order "the Act" means the Education Act 1994.
2.—(1) All the provisions of the Act, except for those mentioned in paragraph (2) below, shall come into force on 21st September 1994.
(2) Subsections (3), (4) and (5) of section 22 of the Act shall come into force on 1st April 1995.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)This Order brings all the provisions of the Education Act 1994 into force. The Act comes into force on 21st September 1994 except for section 22(3)-(5), which comes into force on 1st April 1995, and which relates to the provision of information by the governing bodies of institutions to students and others.
