The Registration of Restrictive Trading Agreements (EEC Documents) (Revocation) Regulations 1994

    The Director General of Fair Trading, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 27(1) and 42 of the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1976[1], hereby makes the following Regulations:—
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Restrictive Trading Agreements (EEC Documents) (Revocation) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on1st June 1994.
        2.    The Registration of Restrictive Trading Agreements (EEC Documents) Regulations 1973[2]are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    The Registration of Restrictive Trading Agreements (EEC Documents) Regulations 1973 require certain documents to be sent to the Director General of Fair Trading. If an agreement is subject to registration under the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1976, the parties are obliged to send him specified information about various steps taken in relation to the same agreement under the procedures of the European Communities, such as the making of an application for negative clearance to the European Commission. Those Regulations are now revoked, without replacement.
