The London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992 (Activating No. 1) Order 1994

The Secretary of State for Transport, at the request of London Regional Transport and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:- Citation, commencement and interpretation 1.(1) This Order may be cited as the London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992 (Activating No. 1) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 3rd April 1994.
(2) In this Order "the Act" means the London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992.
Activation of penalty fares provisions 2. Sections 5 to 9 of the Act shall have effect, as from the date of coming into force of this Order, with respect to all train services provided by London Underground Limited (a subsidiary of London Regional Transport) including to and from stations owned by another person. EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)This Order provides that the penalty fares provisions contained in sections 5 to 9 of the London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992 shall have effect as from 3rd April 1994 in relation to train services operated by London Underground Limited, a subsidiary of London Regional Transport.
