The National Health Service Trusts (Appointment of Trustees) (Scotland) Order 1994

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 12G(2) of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.(1) This Order may be cited as the National Health Service Trusts (Appointment of Trustees) (Scotland) Order 1994, and shall come into force on 1st April 1994.
(2) In this Order
"the Act" means the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978;
"the Trust" means each of the National Health Service Trusts specified in the Schedule to this Order.
Appointment of trustees
2. The chairman, non-executive directors and executive directors of each respective Trust are appointed trustees ex officiis for the purpose of holding any property which is to be held in trust on behalf of that Trust under section 12G of the Act.
