The M42 Motorway (Junction 6 Southbound Off-Slip Road to Eastway) Scheme 1993

The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Scheme in exercise of powers conferred by sections 16, 17 and 19 of the Highways Act 1980[1], and now vested in him[2], and of all other enabling powers:- 1. This Scheme may be cited as the M42 Motorway (Junction 6 Southbound Off-Slip Road to Eastway) Scheme 1993 and shall come into force on 28th January 1994. 2. The Secretary of State is authorised to provide a special road for the exclusive use of traffic of classes I and II of the classes of traffic set out in schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980 along a route from the M42 Junction 6 southbound off-slip road in the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull to the southern edge of a roundabout on Eastway proposed to be constructed by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, a distance of 260 metres. 3. The centre line of the new special road is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan numbered HA10/2WM/175, marked "The M42 Motorway (Junction 6 Southbound Off-Slip Road To Eastway) Scheme 1993", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY. 4. The new special road shall become a trunk road on the date when this Scheme comes into force. Signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport
