The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1993

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 7(1)(a), (b) and (c) and (2), and 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[1], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
Title and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (No.2) Order 1993 and shall come into force on the day after the date on which it is made.
Amendment to the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978
2. The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[2] ("the 1978 Order") shall be amended as follows— (a) at the end of Schedule 1 to that Order (which lists disinfectants approved by the Minister) there shall be added the entries listed in Schedule 1 to this Order;
(b) the entries listed in Schedule 2 to this Order shall be deleted from Schedule 1 to the 1978 Order;
(c) Schedule 3 to this Order shall be substituted for Schedule 2 to the 1978 Order (which lists disinfectants subject to transitional provisions);
(d) in article 6(2) of the 1978 Order (which specifies the date until which disinfectants subject to transitional provisions remain approved) for the words "30th June 1993" there shall be substituted the words "31st December 1993".
