AGRICULTURE
The Agriculture Act 1993 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1993
The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 65(3) of the Agriculture Act 1993[1], hereby make the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Agriculture Act 1993 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1993.
2. Sections 55 and 59 of the Agriculture Act 1993 shall come into force on 4th August 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)This Order brings into force on 4th August 1993 sections 55 and 59 of the Agriculture Act 1993. Those provisions relate to the ending of the Potato Guarantee and Quota Areas under the Potato Marketing Scheme.
