The Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 1993

    The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12(6) and 37(1) and (2) of the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971[1] with the approval of the Treasury, and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 9th August 1993.
        2.    The Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 1971[2] shall be further amended as follows.
        3.    In regulation 6(1), for "£3.50" there shall be substituted "£5.50".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations further amend the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 1971 so as to increase the fee for the issue of a duplicate licence from £3.50 to £5.50. This fee was last increased in 1986.
