The Non-Domestic Rating (Collection and Enforcement) (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provision) (No. 2) Regulations 1993

    The Secretary of State for the Environment, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 50, 143(1) and (2) and 146(6) of, and paragraphs 1 and 3(3) of Schedule 9 to, the Local Government Finance Act 1988[1], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:
    Citation, commencement and interpretation
        1.—(1)  These Regulations may be cited as the Non-Domestic Rating (Collection and Enforcement) (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provision) (No. 2) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1st April 1993.

        (2)  In these Regulations "the earlier 1993 Regulations" means the Non-Domestic Rating (Collection and Enforcement) (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provision) Regulations 1993[2].
    Amendment of the earlier 1993 Regulations
        2.    Regulation 4 of the earlier 1993 Regulations shall be amended by the substitution in sub-paragraph (b) of the substituted paragraph for the words "the Non-Domestic Rating (Collection and Enforcement) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 1993" of the words "the Non-Domestic Rating (Collection and Enforcement) (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provision) Regulations 1993".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations amend regulation 4 of the Non-Domestic Rating (Collection and Enforcement) (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provision) Regulations 1993 ("the earlier 1993 Regulations") which substituted a new paragraph 12 in regulation 4 of the Non-Domestic Rating (Collection and Enforcement) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 1990[3]. The amendment rectifies an incorrect reference to the earlier 1993 Regulations in the substituted paragraph.
