The High Court (Distribution of Business) Order 1993

    The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 61(3)(a) and (c) of the Supreme Court Act 1981[1], hereby makes the following order:-
        1.    This order may be cited as the High Court (Distribution of Business) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 5th April 1993.
        2.    There shall be assigned to the Family Division all proceedings in the High Court under the Child Support Act 1991[2].
        3.    In consequence of the provision made by article 2, paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Supreme Court Act 1981 shall be amended by the insertion, after sub-paragraph (g)[3], of the following-
        "(h) all proceedings under the Child Support Act 1991.".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order assigns to the Family Division of the High Court all proceedings under the Child Support Act 1991 which occur in that court. The Order also amends paragraph 3 of Schedule 1 to the Supreme Court Act 1981 to reflect that provision.
