The Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) Regulationa 1993

The Secretary of State and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 122(4) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations:—
Citation and commencement
1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1st Febraury 1993.
Keeping of the Register
2. In regulation 18 of the Genertically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) Regulations 1992[2]— (a) in paragraph (2), for the words "paragraph (3)" there shall be substituted the words "paragraphs (30 and (3A)";
(b) after paragraph (3) there shall be inserted the following paragraph—" (3A) The information prescribed in regulation 17(3)(h) shall be placed on the register within fourteen days of the receipt by the Secretary of State of the committee's advice.".
