The Higher Education (Wales) (Revocation) Regulations 1993

    The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 218(9)(b) and 232(6) of the Education Reform Act 1988[1] and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:—
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Higher Education (Wales) (Revocation) Regulations 1993 and shall come into force on 1st April 1993.
        2.    The Higher Education (Wales) Regulations 1990[2] are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    The Higher Education (Wales) Regulations 1990 provide for certain courses of initial teaching training provided by certain institutions in Wales to be subject to the approval of the Secretary of State; for the Secretary of State to have power to direct that such a course shall cease to be provided; and for him to give directions with respect to the number and categories of students to be admitted to a course. These Regulations revoke those 1990 Regulations.
