The Reservoirs (Panels of Civil Engineers) (Application and Fees) Regulations 1992

The Secretary of State for the Environment as respects England, the Secretary of State for Wales as respects Wales and the Secretary of State for Scotland as respects Scotland, in exercise of powers conferred on them by sections 4(2) and 5 of the Reservoirs Act 1975[1], hereby make the following Regulations: Citation, commencement and interpretation 1.(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Reservoirs (Panels of Civil Engineers) (Applications and Fees) Regulations 1992, and shall come into force on 1st July 1992.
(2) In these Regulations, "an existing panel" means any of the four existing panels established as a result of a determination of the Secretary of State under section 4(1) of the Reservoirs Act 1975, namely (a) the Supervising Engineers Panel; (b) the All Reservoirs Panel; (c) the Non-Impounding Reservoirs Panel; and (d) the Service Reservoirs Panel.
Applications for appointment or reappointment 2.(1) An application by a civil engineer to be appointed or reappointed under section 4(2) of the Reservoirs Act 1975 to an existing panel shall be made to the Secretary of State for the Environment in writing, with (a) the information set out in the Schedule to these Regulations; (b) the prescribed fee; and (c) in the case of a first appointment, a reference from a civil engineer as to the suitability of the applicant for appointment. (2) The prescribed fee is (a) in the case of a first appointment, £200; (b) in any other case, £160.
Revocations 3. The Reservoirs Act 1975 (Supervising Engineers Panel) (Applications and Fees) Regulations 1984[2], the Reservoirs Act 1975 (All Reservoirs Panel) (Applications and Fees) Regulations 1985[3], the Reservoirs Act 1975 (Non-Impounding and Service Reservoirs Panels) (Applications and Fees) Regulations 1985[4], the Reservoirs (Panels of Civil Engineers) (Reappointment) Regulations 1989[5] and the Reservoirs Act 1975 (Application Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1989[6] are hereby revoked.
