The A12 Trunk Road (Eastern Avenue West and Eastern Avenue East, Havering) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 1992

    The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 84(1) and (2) of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the A12 Trunk Road (Eastern Avenue West and Eastern Avenue East, Havering) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 18th May 1992.
        2.    In this Order "the trunk road" means that length of the A12 Trunk Road in the London Borough of Havering.
        3.    No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on the length of the trunk road specified in the Schedule to this Order.
        4.    The London Traffic (40 mph Speed Limit) (No. 6) Regulations 1961[2] are hereby revoked.
        5.—(1)  The London Traffic (40 mph Speed Limit) (No. 2) Regulations 1958[3] shall be varied as follows.

        (2)  In the Schedule, sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph 2 shall be omitted.
