The Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1992

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 20(3) and 51(4) of the Gaming Act 1968[1], I hereby make the following Order:
1.(1) This Order may be cited as the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st May 1992.
(2) This Order shall not extend to Scotland.
2. Section 20(3) of the Gaming Act 1968[2] (under which the maximum permitted aggregate amount of winnings in respect of games of bingo played in one week simultaneously on different club premises is £4,500) shall have effect with the substitution, for the reference to the sum specified in that subsection, of a reference to the sum of £5,000.
3. In the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) Order 1991[3], article 2 shall be omitted.

(This note is not part of the Order)This Order increases in England and Wales the monetary limit specified in section 20(3) of the Gaming Act 1968 and described in article 2 of the Order.
