The Adoption Allowance (Amendment) Regulations 1991

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 57A of the Adoption Act 1976[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Adoption Allowance (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 14th October 1991 immediately after the principal Regulations.
(2) In these Regulations "the principal Regulations" means the Adoption Allowance Regulations 1991[2]
Amendment of regulation 4(2) of the principal Regulations
2. Regulation 4(2) of the principal Regulations (exceptions from procedure in determining whether an allowance should be paid) shall be amended as follows (a) in sub-paragraph (a)(i) of that regulation for "paragraph (i)" there shall be substituted "paragraph (1)";
(b) in sub-paragraph (a)(iii) of that regulation for "adopters" there shall be substituted "agency".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)These Regulations amend regulation 4(2) of the Adoption Allowance Regulations 1991 (exceptions from procedure to be followed in determining whether an allowance should be paid) by correcting the reference to "paragraph (i)" in sub-paragraph (a)(i) to "paragraph (1)" and the reference to "adopters" in sub-paragraph (a)(iii) to "agency".
