The Data Protection (Fees) Regulations 1991

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 6(7), 8(5),40(7) and 41 of the Data Protection Act 1984[1] and by the Data Protection Registration Fee Order 1991[2] and after consultation with the Registrar and with theapproval of the Treasury in accordance with the said section 40(7), Ihereby make the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Data Protection (Fees)Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 1st June 1991.
2. The fee payable under section 6(7) of the Data Protection Act 1984on an application for registration and under section 8(5) of that Act onan application for the renewal of registration shall be £75.
3. The Data Protection (Fees) Regulations 1988[3] are hereby revoked.

(This note is not part of the Regulations)These Regulations increase to £75 from £56 the feewhich is to accompany an application to the Data Protection Registrarfor registration or for renewal of registration under the DataProtection Act 1984.
