The Immigration (Registration with Police) (Amendment) Regulations 1991

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 4(3) of the Immigration Act 1971[1], I hereby make the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Registration with Police) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 1st June 1991.
2. In regulation 10(3) of the Immigration (Registration with Police) Regulations 1972[2] (which relates to the fee to be paid for the issue of registration certificates), for the figure "£36" there shall be substituted the figure "£27.50".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)These Regulations reduce the fee payable when aliens are required to register with the police from £36 to £27.50. This reduction reflects a recent reassessment of the cost of the issue of registration certificates.
