The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Variation) Order 1990

    In pursuance of section 7(4) and (5) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971[1], on the recommendation of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, I hereby make the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Variation) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st February 1991.
        2.    The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order 1986[2] shall be varied by the addition, at the end of paragraph 1(a) of Part I of the Schedule, of "N/Hydroxy-tenamphetamine" and "4-Methyl-aminorex".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order varies the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order 1986 by adding to Part I of the Schedule (which specifies the controlled drugs which are designated as drugs to which section 7(4) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 applies) N/Hydroxy-tenamphetamine and 4-Methyl-aminorex. These drugs become subject to control under that Act by virtue of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Modification) Order 1990 (S.I. 1990/2589).
