The Legal Services Ombudsman (Jurisdiction) Order 1990

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22(7) and (11) of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990[1], hereby makes the following Order:
Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Legal Services Ombudsman (Jurisdiction) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st January 1991.
(2) In this Order, "Ombudsman" means the Legal Services Ombudsman.
Professional bodies within Ombudsman's jurisdiction
2. The bodies specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto are hereby specified as professional bodies for the purposes of section 22(11) of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990.
Issues not investigable by Ombudsman
3. The tribunal specified in Part II of the Schedule hereto is hereby specified for the purposes of section 22(7) of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990.
