The Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 5) Order 1990

The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred by section 1 of the Import, Export and Customs Powers (Defence) Act 1939[1] and now vested in him[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 5) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 31st August 1990.
2. The Export of Goods (Control) Order 1989[3] shall be further amended as follows (a) in article 4(f) the words "or in Namibia" shall be deleted;
(b) in Group 3E in Part II of Schedule 1 after entry PL7010 there shall be inserted the following new entry
"PL7016 Aircraft, helicopters and steerable parachutes having a maximum all up weight of not more than 390kg W".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)This Order further amends the Export of Goods (Control) Order 1989 by(a) extending the exclusion from control in article 4 thereof for personal firearms to exports to Namibia;
(b) introducing export control for microlights, that is aircraft, helicopters and steerable parachutes having a maximum all up weight of not more than 390kg.
