The Returning Officers' Expenses Regulations 1990

Coming into force21st March 1990

    The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 29(3) of the Representation of the People Act 1983[1], hereby make the following Regulations:-
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Returning Officers' Expenses Regulations 1990 and shall come into force on 21st March 1990.
        2.    The maximum charges to which a returning officer at a parliamentary election in England, Wales and Scotland shall be entitled are:-
       (a) in respect of services rendered by him, the amounts specified in Part A of the Schedule to these Regulations; and
       (b) in respect of expenses incurred by him, the amounts specified in Part B of the said Schedule.
        3.    The Returning Officers' Expenses Regulations 1987[2] and the Returning Officers' Expenses (Amendment) Regulations 1989[3] are hereby revoked.
