The Transport (Scotland) Act 1989 (Transfer of Shipping Companies) Appointed Day Order 1990

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 7(2) and (3) of the Transport (Scotland) Act 1989[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1. This Order may be cited as the Transport (Scotland) Act 1989 (Transfer of Shipping Companies) Appointed Day Order 1990 and shall come into force on 2nd April 1990.
Appointed Day
2. 2nd April 1990 shall be the day appointed for the purposes of section 7 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 1989.
Consequential amendments of enactments pertaining to the Scottish Transport Group
3.(1) The enactments specified in the first column of Schedule 1 to this Order are hereby amended to the extent set out in the second column of that Schedule.
(2) For any reference in the enactments specified in Schedule 2 to this Order to the Scottish Transport Group, there shall be substituted a reference to Caledonian MacBrayne Limited.
