    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 59(6) of the Criminal Justice Act 1967([1]) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Rules:
        1.    These Rules may be cited as the Local Review Committee (Scotland) Amendment Rules 1989 and shall come into force on 25th October 1989.
        2.    There is added to the Schedule to the Local Review Committee (Scotland) Rules 1967([2]), the following:—

        "Polmont young offenders institution" .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Rules)
    These Rules amend the Local Review Committee (Scotland) Rules 1967 by providing for the establishment of a local review committee at Polmont young offenders institution.
