The A23 Trunk Road (Streatham High Road, Lambeth) (Prohibition of Right Turn) Order 1989

Coming into force18th September 1989

    The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984[1], and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Secretary of State for the Home Department in accordance with section 7(6) of the said Act of 1984, hereby makes the following Order:-
        1.    This Order may be cited as the A23 Trunk Road (Streatham High Road, Lambeth) (Prohibition of Right Turn) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 18th September 1989.
        2.    No person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding in the northbound carriageway of the length of the London-Brighton Trunk Road (A23) in the London Borough of Lambeth known as Streatham High Road to make a right turn into Streatham Common South.
        3.    Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a traffic warden.
