The Water Reorganisation (Holding Companies of Successor Companies) Order 1989

Coming into force19th August 1989

    The Secretary of State for Wales, as respects the Welsh successor company, and the Secretary of State for the Environment, as respects the other successor companies, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 83(1) of the Water Act 1989[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, and with the consent of the Treasury, hereby make the following Order:-
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Water Reorganisation (Holding Companies of Successor Companies) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 19th August 1989.
        2.    The company (being a company wholly owned by the Crown) mentioned in the Schedule hereto in relation to a successor company which is so mentioned is hereby nominated as the holding company of that successor company.
