The Recovery Vehicles (Number of Vehicles Recovered)Order 1989

Whereas a draft of this Order has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in pursuance of paragraph 8(5) of Part I of Schedule 3 to the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971[1];
Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 8(4) of Part I of Schedule 3 to that Act and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Recovery Vehicles (Number of Vehicles Recovered) Order 1989 and shall come into force on the tenth day after the day on which it is made.
2. The number specified for the purposes of paragraph 8(4) of Part I of Schedule 3 to the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971 is two.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)This Order specifies two as the number of vehicles which "recovery vehicles", as defined in paragraph 8(1) of Part I of Schedule 3 to the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971, may recover at any time without ceasing to be "recovery vehicles".
The Order applies in Great Britain.
