The Copyright (International Organisations) Order 1989

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Her Majesty, by virtue of the authority conferred upon Her by section 168(2) of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988[1], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Copyright (International Organisations) Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st August 1989.
        2.    It is hereby declared to be expedient that section 168 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (copyright vesting in certain international organisations) should apply to the United Nations, the Specialised Agencies of the United Nations and the Organisation of American States.
