The Consular Fees (Amendment) Order 1989

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 16th day of May 1989

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Her Majesty, in exercise of the power conferred upon Her by section 1(1) of the Consular Fees Act 1980[1], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
        1.    This Order shall come into force on 7th June 1989 and may be cited as the Consular Fees (Amendment) Order 1989.
        2.    Part IX of the table of consular fees in the Schedule annexed to the Consular Fees Order 1989[2] shall be amended as follows-
      in Fee 46 the words"payable to" shall be replaced by the words"payable by".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order amends the Consular Fees Order 1989 so as to render the fee with respect to the examination of provisions or water (Fee 46) payable by rather than to the party who proves to be in default.
