The Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Commencement No. 7) Order 1989

Made	28th February 1989

In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 171(1) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988^[1], I hereby make the following Order:

    1.    This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (Commencement No. 7) Order 1989.

    2.    The provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 3rd April 1989 but the provisions specified in Part I of that Schedule shall not apply in the case of a trial, or proceedings before a magistrates' court acting as examining justices, which began before that date.
