The Police (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 1988

    In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 33 of the Police Act 1964 [1], and after taking into consideration the recommendation made by the Police Negotiating Board for the United Kingdom and furnishing the said Board with a draft of the Regulations in accordance with section 2(1) of the Police Negotiating Board Act 1980 [2], I hereby make the following Regulations:
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Police (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 9th January 1989.
        2.    Table B in Schedule 5 to the Police Regulations 1987 [3](scale of pay of constables) shall be amended by substituting for the figure "13,688" the figure "13,668".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations amend the Police Regulations 1987. They correct an error in an amending instrument, the Police (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1988 (S.I. 1988/1821), in relation to the annual pay of constables after 8 years of service and before 12 years of service.
