The Wireless Telegraphy (Control of Interference from Citizens' Band Radio Apparatus) (Amendment) Regulations 1988

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949[1] as enacted, and as extended by the Wireless Telegraphy (Channel Islands) Order 1952[2] and the Wireless Telegraphy (Isle of Man) Order 1952[3] and now vested in him[4], hereby makes the following Regulations:
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Wireless Telegraphy (Control of Interference from Citizens' Band Radio Apparatus) (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 8th August 1988.
        2.    In these Regulations—

    "the principal Regulations" means the Wireless Telegraphy (Control of Interference from Citizens' Band Radio Apparatus) Regulations 1982[5].
        3.    In regulation 2 of the principal Regulations, for the definition of "relevant specification" there shall be substituted the following definition:—

    "relevant specification" means Performance Specification MPT 1321, as amended, published in April 1981.
