The Transport Act 1981 (Commencement No. 12) Order 1988

Made	10th June 1988

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the Transport Act 1981^[1], and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order:

    1.    This Order may be cited as the Transport Act 1981 (Commencement No. 12) Order 1988.

    2.    The 13th July 1988 is appointed as the day on which paragraph 16 of Schedule 9 to the Transport Act 1981 comes into force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints 13th July 1988 for the purpose of the coming into force of paragraph 16 of Schedule 9 to the Transport Act 1981. Paragraph 16 amends section 188(6) of the Road Traffic Act 1972 (c. 20) which contains provisions relating to the application of that Act to the Crown).
