The Gaming Clubs (Hours and Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1988

    In pursuance of sections 22(4) and 51 of the Gaming Act 1968[1], and after consultation with the Gaming Board for Great Britain, I hereby make the following Regulations:
        1.—(1)  These Regulations may be cited as the Gaming Clubs (Hours and Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1988 and shall come into force on 18th July 1988.

        (2)  These Regulations do not extend to Scotland.
        2.    Regulation 3 of the Gaming Clubs (Hours and Charges) Regulations 1984[2] shall be amended by substituting for the word "noon", wherever it occurs, the words "ten in the morning".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)
    These Regulations amend the Gaming Clubs (Hours and Charges) Regulations 1984 to extend the permitted hours for gaming on bingo club premises in England and Wales so that gaming may commence on weekdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. instead of noon.
