The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by sections 2, 17 and 21 of the Extradition Act 1870[1] and sections 9(2) and 39(1) of the Aviation Security Act 1982[2], or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Extradition (Protection of Aircraft) (Amendment) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 1st January 1988.
2. The Extradition (Protection of Aircraft) Order 1973[3] shall be amended by adding to Part I of Schedule 3 (which names the foreign States with which the United Kingdom has no extradition treaties in force and which are parties to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation signed at Montreal on 23rd September 1971[4]) the following entries

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)This Order amends the Extradition (Protection of Aircraft) Order 1973 (which among its provisions names States party to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation signed at Montreal on 23rd September 1971) by adding the names of the States specified in article 2 of this Order, which are also parties to the Convention.
