The Warkworth Harbour Revision Order 1987

The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Harbours Act 1964[1] and now vested in him[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and on the application of the Warkworth Harbour Commissioners, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.(1) This Order may be cited as the Warkworth Harbour Revision Order 1987.
(2) The Warkworth Harbour Acts and Orders 1847 to 1984 and this Order may be cited together as the Warkworth Harbour Acts and Orders 1847 to 1987.
Increase in borrowing powers
2. In the proviso to article 3 of the Warkworth Harbour Revision Order 1973[3] (which provides that the total sum for the time being borrowed by the Warkworth Harbour Commissioners under that article and section 7 of the Warkworth Harbour Act 1893[4] shall not exceed £150,000) for "£150,000" there shall be substituted "£500,000".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)This Order increases from £150,000 to £500,000 the maximum amount of money which the Warkworth Harbour Commissioners may borrow for the purposes of the harbour on the security of the harbour revenue or by way of the mortgage of any land for the time being vested in them.
The applicants for the Order are the Warkworth Harbour Commissioners.
