SEEDS
The Seed Potatoes (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1987

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 16(1), (1A)(e) and (5)(a) of the Plant Varieties and Seeds Act 1964[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consultation with representatives of such interests as appear to him to be concerned, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Seed Potatoes (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 20th April 1987.
Revocation of previous regulations
2. The Seed Potatoes (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1985[2] are hereby revoked.
3. There shall be paid in advance in respect of matters arising under the Seed Potatoes Regulations 1984[3] referred to in the Schedule hereto or under any regulations amending or superseding them the fees respectively specified in the second column of the said Schedule opposite the references to such matters.
4. The said fees shall be payable to the Secretary of State.
5. The Secretary of State may exempt any person or class of person or persons generally from compliance in whole or in part with the provisions of these Regulations in relation to payment of fees and any exemptions so made may be made subject to conditions.
